Donate to Athletics During USciences' First Giving Day on Friday, May 11

PHILADELPHIA – University of the Sciences is excited to announce its first-ever USciences Giving Day, which will take place this Friday, May 11.

USciences Giving Day is an all-day fundraising campaign designed to galvanize the USciences community in support of our students, programs, and research. Every gift matters because this campaign is all about participation, with the goal being to reach 300 individual gifts.

When you give to University of the Sciences you can select a donation to the Athletic Department, which would help enhance the experience for all of our student-athletes. In the past, donations have helped upgrade facilities, purchase equipment, and support travel costs and branding.

Donations can be made here beginning at midnight on Thursday night, and throughout the entire day on Friday.

The top four funds with the most individual donors will receive bonus grants. The fund with the most donors will receive $2,500, made possible by a gift from President Paul Katz. The fund with the second-most donors will receive $500, while those with the third and fourth-most will earn an extra $250.

The University of the Sciences Athletic Department consists of 12 teams – baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's golf, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field, and women's volleyball – that compete in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), a member of NCAA Division II. The Department's Academic Success Rate (ASR) has been atop the CACC and in the top-six of Division II in each of the 11 years it has been featured on the report. USciences student-athletes posted a grade point average (GPA) of 3.26 in the Fall 2017 Semester, with more than half (83) earning Dean's List Honors and 10 posting a perfect 4.0 GPA.
