University of the Sciences Compliance Home Page

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the University of the Sciences Compliance home page! The goal of this site is to provide our boosters, alumni, fans, coaches, prospects and student-athletes information regarding the rules and regulations of the NCAA. While not all inclusive, it is meant to provide guidance in many of the situations you may encounter and should help you avoid inadvertently violating NCAA policies. Compliance of the rules and regulations is essential to creating a winning environment for all of USciences' athletic teams.

ASK BEFORE YOU ACT

It is the responsibility of every individual associated with University of the Sciences Athletics to be educated. If questions arise, we ask that you contact our Compliance Coordinator, Ms. Cynthia Rabideau, at (215) 596-7429 or by email (c.rabideau@usciences.edu).  Asking questions before acting ensures that the eligibility of our department and our student-athletes is not jeopardized.

ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT

The USciences Athletic Department contributes to the educational mission of the university by promoting student learning, personal development and student retention through intercollegiate athletics. The programs provide opportunities to improve and develop student leadership skills and promote the health and well being of students as a means of enhancing the educational experience. The Athletic Department demonstrates respect for the uniqueness of each member of the campus community by providing equal access to educational/athletic opportunities for students.

ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT VISION STATEMENT

The USciences Athletic Department supports equal opportunities for all students and student-athletes. This equity is consistent with the USciences Institutional and USciences Athletic Department mission statements where our policies are mandated to include the fair distribution of our overall athletic opportunities and resources. No student-athlete, coach or athletic administrator is discriminated against in any way in the athletics programs based on gender, age, ethnicity or sexual orientation.
