Wager joined University of the Sciences as an athletic trainer, as well as the University's first-ever strength and conditioning coach, prior to the 2016-17 season.
He returned to the east coast after completing a year-long Athletic Training Assistantship at the University of Washington. While with the Huskies, he worked with both the football and men’s basketball teams and was able to develop rehabilitation programs for acute, sub-acute and chronic injuries.
Previously as a Graduate Assistant at Westfield and Millbrook High School’s in Virginia, he designed sport specific agility and conditioning programs and organized rehabilitation programs customized for each athlete.
Wager graduated from Penn State University in 2010 with his Bachelor’s in Kinesiology with a focus in Movement Sciences. He continued his education at Shenandoah University, where he received his Master's in Athletic Training.
