Chandragiri, Bythrow Shoot Career-Best Rounds as Golf Falls Just Short to Jefferson in Season-Opener

LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. – Sahas Chandragiri shot a career-best 83, nearly lifting the University of the Sciences golf team to a victory over Jefferson in the Devils' season-opener at The ACE Club on Monday afternoon.

USciences fell just three strokes short of the Rams, shooting a 341.

Chandragiri beat his previous career-best round by one stroke to finish second out of the 10 golfers to tee off.

Right behind him in a tie for third was Austin Staiano, who shot an 84.

Chandragiri was not the only Devil to shoot a career-best round, with Austin Bythrow matching his previous best of 101.

Andy Ring and Mitchel Storb rounded out USciences' scorecard with an 86 and an 88.

University of the Sciences next competes at the Swarthmore Tournament, hosted at Rock Manor Golf Club, this Sunday, Sept. 16.
