
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Five members of the University of the Sciences men's basketball team have earned a spot on the 2017-18 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court.
Michael Fox, Will Gregorits, Brandon Hathaway, Danny Kelly and Tanner Kerr – who all earned Dean's List Honors in the Spring 2018 semester – received the academic recognition.
Notably, it was the second year in a row that Gregorits earned the accolade.
In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet the following criteria:
- Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
- Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2017-18 academic year.
- Have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
- Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.
The release of the 2017-18 Honors Court follows the announcement that the USciences men's basketball had been honored with the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for the third time in four years.
