NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Nathan Nguyen has been voted All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Second Team for the second year in a row, the league offices announced on Wednesday.
The junior joins Steve Galerkin (2013, 2015) and Jake Sosonkin (2014, 2016, 2017) as Devils to receive All-CACC recognition multiple times since 2012.
Nguyen and doubles partner Borna Novak have compiled an 8-8 record this season as USciences' primary first flight team, including going 2-1 in CACC play with victories over Post and Jefferson. In the fall they won two matches to advance to the Round of 16 at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) East Regionals.
In singles play, Nguyen has also split time between the first and second flight for the Devils. He won a second flight CACC match at Post, 7-6 (11-9), 6-3, last Thursday.
