Devils Softball Closes Out The Season On The Road At Dominican

Orangeburg, N.Y. - The University of the Sciences softball team closed out their 2017 season on the road against the Chargers of Dominican College. Scoring two runs in the fifth and another one in the sixth, the Devils forced extra-innings in game one, falling in the eighth 4-3. It was a narrow margin down to the wire in game two for the Devils, with the Chargers scoring early, USciences fell 2-1. Jenna Hohenberger tallied a hit in each game, with a run scored in game one and an RBI in game two.

  • Kaitlyn Gaynor threw the complete game, allowing seven hits and striking out seven. Gaynor recorded the first two outs of game two.
  • Kyla Colburn came on for the remainder of the final game, surrendering five hits and striking out two.
