Five Devils Earn Spot on CACC Softball All-Academic Team

2018 CACC Softball All-Academic Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Five University of the Sciences student-athletes earned a spot on the 2018 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Softball All-Academic Team, as the league offices announced the honorees on Monday. 

The five honorees for the Devils were the second-most in the conference.

All making their first appearance on the All-Academic team were senior Emily Harris, Junior Brittany Rickard, and sophomores Alexandria Jackson, Madison LaPlante and Gina Pustizzi.  

Notably, Rickard was one of two student-athletes in the entire league with a 4.0 GPA. 

In order to qualify for the CACC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term, have been enrolled as a full-time student at the member institution for a minimum of two semesters, have been at least a second year student-athlete at the member institution, and have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
