Softball Leads CACC with Six All-Academic Honorees

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The University of the Sciences softball program was atop the league with six honorees as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) revealed the 2019 CACC Softball All-Academic Team on Wednesday. 

Redshirt-senior Evangelina Olivera closed out her career by making the team for the maximum allowable third time, while fellow seniors Brittany Rickard made it for a second time and Kaitlyn Gaynor made it for the first time. 

Juniors Madison LaPlante, Alexandria Jackson and Gina Pustizzi all made it for a second time.

In order to qualify for the CACC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term, have been enrolled as a full-time student at the member institution for a minimum of two semesters, have been a second year student-athlete at the member institution, and must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
