ATLANTA – The University of the Sciences women's basketball team has the 12th highest cumulative team grade point average (GPA) in all of NCAA Division II, following the conclusion of the 2017-18 season.
The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls on Tuesday, recognizing NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.
USciences was included for the fourth consecutive year, one year after posting the 17th highest team GPA.
Notably, the Devils recorded the highest team GPA amongst the 14 schools in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) for the fifth year in a row, and are also the only team in the 2017-18 Top 25 from the East Region.
University of the Sciences' cumulative team GPA of 3.672 was just .005 outside the top 10.
The Devils led the league with eight CACC All-Academic Team honorees in March. 13-of-17 team members made the Dean's List in both the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 semesters.
