Track and Field's Holmes, Mandeh and Moss Break School Records for Second Straight Week

STATEN ISLAND – Christina HolmesMacniel Mandeh and Gabrielle Moss all broke school records they set last week, and they were joined by William Hallinan in setting school history on the day as the University of the Sciences track and field team competed in the FastTrack National Invitational on Friday.

Mandeh and Holmes both broke their own school records in the 200m that they set last week, with Mandeh crossing in 23.03 to win his heat and place 37th out of 95, and Holmes running a 26.87 to place 31st out of 89. 

Before that, Mandeh also broke the school's 400m school record with a time of 52.36.  

Also breaking their own school record from last week was Moss, who ran the 3000m in 11:24.15. 

Hallinan broke the school record in the mile, completing the event in 4:29.73 to cross in the top-half of the field of 42 in 21st. 

Alton McKenley placed in the top-half of the field of 50 in the long jump, with his mark of 6.27m putting him in 22nd. 

Notably, Eric Papazian (200m), Ryan Ward (3000m), Paige Jacobs (3000m) and all set collegiate personal bests on the day, while Sophie Hockran, McKayla Kelly and Chloe Georges all became the first Devils to ever compete in the Weight Throw. 

University of the Sciences closes out its indoor season in two weeks, traveling back to New York for the Armory Last Chance Meet on Friday, Feb. 22.
