NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Five members of the University of the Sciences women's cross country team earned a spot on the 2017 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team.
Juniors Sara Skoritowski, Emily Brand and Regan Asay each made their second appearance on the All-Academic Team, while sophomores Olivia DeLorenzo and Elizabeth Sauers were honored for the first time.
USciences' five honorees were tied with Jefferson for the most in the conference.
Academically a senior, Skoritowski has earned Dean's List Honors four times and currently holds a 3.60 GPA as a Pharmacy major. She is a two-time D2ADA Academic Award recipient and was also a 2015 ITA Scholar Athlete when she was a member of the tennis program.
Brand has earned Dean's List Honors in each of her first four semesters at USciences. The Pharmacy major also has completed two perfect 4.0 GPA semesters and currently boasts a 3.89 GPA. Like Skoritowski, she was a D2ADA Academic Award recipient in 2016-17.
Asay has also earned Dean's List Honors in each of her first four semesters and was a D2ADA Academic Award recipient in 2016-17. She was also named to the 2015 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team in 2015. The Pharmacy major currently has a 3.56 GPA.
DeLorenzo boasts a near-perfect 3.97 GPA as a Physical Therapy major. She has one perfect 4.0 GPA semester and has earned Dean's List Honors in both of her first two semesters at University of the Sciences.
Sauers has also earned Dean's List Honors in her first two semesters. The Pharmacy major holds a 3.89 GPA, and she was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team last year.
The USciences women's cross country team closes its 2017 season at the NCAA Division II East Regionals, hosted at Amherst Audubon Golf Course in Buffalo, N.Y., this Saturday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m.
