PHILADELPHIA – Gabby Moss earned her first career All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) honor, placing 12th at the CACC Championship on Sunday morning at Belmond Plateau to lead the University of the Sciences women's cross country team to a fifth place finish.

The fifth place performance was USciences' third top-five finish in the last four years in the field of 14. The Devils' streak of finishing in the top-half of the Championship is now at 16 years.

University of the Sciences finished with 134 points, 11 behind fourth-place Felician, while Jefferson won the team title by 39 points with a total of 56.

The Devils have now had a runner earn All-CACC accolades for seven straight years as Moss, who sat out last season injured, was more than 13 seconds clear of the top-15 with a season-best time of 21:09.1 on the 5K course. Notably, the redshirt-sophomore was three positions out of All-CACC territory as a freshman in 2016.

Junior Elizabeth Sauers came 12 seconds away from a third consecutive All-CACC honor, navigating the course in 21:29.6 to cross in the top-fourth in the field of 89 in 21st.

The next five Devils to cross all ran season-bests, beginning with Regan Asay's 22:07.2. The performance closed out a consistent career for the senior at the CACC Championship, as she placed between 19th and 28th in all four she ran.

Emily Brand and Olivia DeLorenzo crossed back-to-back in 22:50.3 and 22:54.7 to both place in the top-half of the field in 36th and 37th. Brand was 13 spots ahead of her placement from last year, while DeLorenzo was 20.

Muskan Khandare and Paige Jacobs also crossed back-to-back. Khandare finished her first CACC Championship in 24:13.0, more than 40 seconds faster than her previous best, while Jacobs was just .4 seconds behind to place 53rd, a 14-place improvement from last year.

University of the Sciences closes out its season at the NCAA East Regional Championship, hosted at Beth Page Polo at the Park, on Saturday, Nov. 17.
