After a four-year career on the University of the Sciences women’s cross country team, and spending one season on the inaugural USciences track and field team, Houghton joins the cross country staff as a graduate assistant for the 2018 season.
Houghton closed out her collegiate career in style, including a new collegiate personal record of 21:41.9 to place 29th at the 2018 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship, 15 positions ahead of her finish from the previous year. She was the second Devil to cross with a time of 27:09.8 at the NCAA East Regional. Her 122nd place finish was her highest-ever in the Regional, an 18-place improvement from her freshman year in 2014.
As a member of the track and field team, she won her section of the 800m in a collegiate personal record of 2:44.31 to place 16th overall at the CACC Championship.
Houghton is a three-time Dean’s List Honoree currently enrolled in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program.
