PHILADELPHIA – The 2019 University of the Sciences baseball schedule is now online.
First pitch for the upcoming campaign is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Father Judge High School against Saint Anselm, in what will be the first of three games against the Hawks that weekend.
USciences will then travel to Florida for spring break, where it will play in eight games between March 1 and March 8. Further details on game dates, times and opponents will be announced in January.
The Devils then return north for a doubleheader at Lincoln on Sunday, March 10.
The two teams meet three days later on Wednesday, March 13 at 2 p.m. for University of the Sciences' home-opener at Richie Ashburn Field in Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
The Devils' Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opener comes one week later, at home, on Wednesday, March 20 against defending champion Wilmington.
That will be the first of 16 CACC doubleheaders for USciences, with home dates also set for March 26 (Jefferson), April 3 (Chestnut Hill), April 6 (Bloomfield), April 9 (Goldey-Beacom), April 13 (Caldwell), April 17 (Dominican) and April 26 (Felician).
University of the Sciences' regular season concludes on Monday, April 29 at Nyack.
The 2019 CACC Baseball Championship begins the following Saturday, May 4, with the top four teams in each division playing in a single elimination First Round. The four winners advance to play in a double-elimination, four-team bracket hosted by Post from May 9-11.
USciences is looking to make its first postseason appearance since 2011.
