Berlin, Md. – Mitchel Storb shot a career-best 76 in the first round, tied for the fifth-lowest round in the program since 2009, to highlight the University of the Sciences golf team's performance at the two-round Charger Classic on Monday.
Storb's 76 topped his previous career-best of 77. He followed the 76 with an 88 for a two-round total of 164 to lead the Devils.
Austin Staiano was one stroke behind him with a 165 after rounds of 81 and 84. He ended his day with a chip-in eagle on the 18th in round two.
Andy Ring posted a 95 and a 91 for a two-round total of 186.
Austin Bythrow also shot a career-best on Monday with a 94 in the first round. He followed that up with a 107 for a total of 201.
Rounding out USciences' day was Mark Knightly, who totaled a 202 with rounds of 102 and 100.
The Devils shot a collective 709 as a team over the two rounds.
University of the Sciences hosts the Second Annual Devils Classic this Thursday and Friday, March 28-29, at Bluestone Country Club.
