PHILADELPHIA – The University of the Sciences men's basketball team has announced its 2019-20 schedule, which will see the Devils open their campaign at home for the first time since 2013.
That season-opener comes on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. against reigning East Region finalist St. Thomas Aquinas.
USciences then welcomes District of Columbia to Bobby Morgan Arena the following afternoon at 2 p.m.
Those are two of the five home non-conference contests University of the Sciences has scheduled in November.
After a trip to Kutztown, the Devils return home to host Lincoln on Monday, Nov. 18.
After hosting Bridgeport on Saturday, Nov. 23, USciences wraps up its home non-conference schedule with yet another 2019 NCAA Tournament participant, Daemen, the following afternoon.
The Devils' non-conference calendar also includes trips to Southern Connecticut State (Dec. 14) and Cheyney (Dec. 30).
University of the Sciences' Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opener is set for Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Holy Family.
Four days later on Dec. 7 the Devils host Georgian Court for their CACC home-opener.
Other notable home dates include Wednesday, Jan. 8 against defending CACC South champion Jefferson and Saturday, Feb. 8 versus defending CACC Tournament champion Dominican.
USciences' home-finale and Senior Day will be on Saturday, Feb. 22 against Wilmington.
After the Devils' season-finale at Chestnut Hill one week later, the CACC Tournament begins with the First Round at host sites on Tuesday, March 3.
USciences returns three starters – Paddy Casey, Brandon Starr and Sean Simon – from last season's team, as well as its top bench scorer in Jordan White.
Also returning are Devan Rodman, Tom Gregorits, Cameron Hoffman and Franklin Okpala.
JJ Melchior and Jordan Davidson will suit up after redshirting last year, while the Devils signed four newcomers.
