Markusic Wins in Men’s Tennis’ CACC Opener

PHILADELPHIA – Borna Markusic won his team-best fifth singles match of the season in the University of the Sciences men's tennis' Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opener - a 6-1 loss to Chestnut Hill - on Wednesday evening at the Hamlin Center.  

Markusic defeated his first flight opponent in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, to move over .500 to 5-4 on the year. 

Jack Kosiorowski and Sahas Chandragiri were second on the team, winning seven games each in their respective second and fifth flight matches. 

Borna Novak and Evan Halperin nearly prevailed in their No. 3 doubles match, a close 7-5 setback. 

University of the Sciences continues CACC play at defending champion and preseason favorite Concordia this Saturday at 12 p.m.
