Men’s Tennis Edged in Doubles Play in Loss to No. 35 Concordia

PHILADELPHIA – The University of the Sciences men's tennis team nearly took the doubles point in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup with No. 35 Concordia on Tuesday evening at the Hamlin Center.

Jack Kosiorowski and Nathan Nguyen won their third straight match together, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles for their team-best sixth victory this season.

Borna Markusic and Borna Novak then went to a tiebreaker at the first flight, falling by the slimmest of margins, 7-5, as Concordia took the doubles point.

The Clippers (13-3, 7-0 CACC) would go on to win all six matches in singles play, five of which were in straight sets.

Nguyen fought back from a 2-6 first set to win the second 6-3 and force a super tiebreaker at the fourth flight, which he would lose 6-10.
