Holmes, Mandeh and Hallinan Move to Top of CACC at Season-Opening Danny Curran Invitational

CHESTER, Pa. – Christina Holmes, Macniel Mandeh and William Hallinan all moved to the top of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) performance list on the first day of the University of the Sciences track and field team's spring season on Saturday at Widener's Danny Curran Invitational.  

Holmes placed fifth out of 83 in the 100m, crossing in a school-record 12.78, before running the 200m in a school record 26.21 for the ninth-fastest time in the field of 120. 

Mandeh finished 10th in a field of 119 in the in the 200m, moving to the top of the CACC with a school record 22.52. 

He then ran a 51.93 in the 400m to break the school record while just narrowly missing out top-fourth of the field, crossing 26th out of 102. 

Hallinan's school record 4:07.29 in the 1500m was the fastest time in the CACC so far this season, and put him in 18th in a deep field of 130. 

Johnathan Epstein also finished in the top-half of that field in 56th with a time of 4:16.03. 

Sophie Hockran broke her own school record for the second day in a row, this time in the hammer with a mark of 27.44m. 

Alton McKenley tied for 13th out of 56 in the long jump with a mark of 6.25m and placed 25th in the 200m after crossing in 23.14.  

Eric Papazian finished in the top-half of the field in the 100m, crossing 39th out of 88 with a time of 11.74. 

Hallinan, Papazian, Mandeh and Koy Connors combined to run the 4x400m relay in a school record 3:32.80, good for ninth in the field of 22 quartets. 

University of the Sciences is back in action at Rowan's Oscar Moore Invitational next Friday, April 5.
