INDIANAPOLIS – University of the Sciences Head Softball Coach Shannon Padula was one of three coaches from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) selected to attend the 2019 NCAA Division II Identity Workshop, hosted at the NCAA National Office, in late June.

The names of Padula, Felician Head Women's Basketball Coach Steve Fagan and Dominican Head Baseball Coach Rick Giannett were submitted by the CACC office.

Now in its fourth year, the NCAA Division II Identity Workshop is a professional development retreat for coaches featuring leadership training, best practices for community engagement opportunities, and training in social media, fundraising and risk management.

During the workshop, coaches were shown various resources that are available to DII coaches, were a part of discussions for academic and membership affairs and gave their input on NCAA policies and procedures.

In addition to the training, the workshop included panels with industry professionals.
