The men's squad narrowly missed the postseason in 2019, but prior to that had appeared in the 2018 semifinals after knocking off top-seeded Bloomfield College in the first round.

Jefferson enters 2019-20 season as the defending conference champion in women's basketball, as the Rams pulled out a thriller over USciences in the final at Caldwell University back in March. The Chargers downed Bloomfield in the 2019 final to reach the NCAA Tournament.
