The University of the Sciences women's basketball team is ranked in the top-21 of both NCAA Division II women's basketball preseason rankings.

USciences came in at No. 17 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) NCAA Division II Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll and No. 21 in the Division II Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA) Women's Basketball Preseason Poll.

Notably, the Devils have now been ranked in the WBCA Coaches Poll 28 straight times, dating back to the Jan. 16, 2018 edition.

University of the Sciences, the only team in the East Region to win a game in each of the last three NCAA Tournaments, is one of four teams from the region to feature in the Top-25.

Defending East Region champion Saint Anselm is in the top-10 of both rankings, while Le Moyne is ranked 19th in both.

Bentley comes in at No. 25 in the D2SIDA Poll and is receiving votes in the WBCA Poll.

Stonehill is receiving votes in both rankings, while fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) member Jefferson is receiving votes in the WBCA Poll.

The rankings confirm that USciences will now open its 2019-20 schedule with two ranked-matchups at home, the first coming in its season-opener on Friday, Nov. 8 when the Devils welcome Bentley to Bobby Morgan Arena.

University of the Sciences then turns right around to host Le Moyne the following day at 2 p.m.

D2SIDA also released its Preseason East Region Poll this week, which features the Devils tied for second with Le Moyne behind Saint Anselm.

Saint Anselm and Le Moyne each received two of the six first-place votes, with No. 4 Bentley and No. 5 Stonehill splitting the remaining two.

Jefferson is sixth, followed by St. Thomas Aquinas, New York Tech, Daemen and Adelphi.

Notably, USciences' schedule features six of the other top-seven teams in the rankings, excluding Saint Anselm, and the Devils also play Adelphi.
