EWING, N.J. – Karla Miletic tied teammate Elkanah Linder's program record for career singles victories, as the University of the Sciences women's tennis team opened its spring season with a 7-2 loss at The College of New Jersey on Saturday afternoon.
Miletic and Linder now sit atop of the program's record with 41 singles wins after Miletic's three-set triumph at the first flight, in which the junior came back from losing the first set 3-6 to take sets two and three, 7-5, 10-8. She is now second on the team with seven singles victories this season.
Stephanie Mazurek was USciences' other winner on the day, dropping just two games in her No. 4 singles victory to extend her win streak to six matches and improve to a team-best 11-4 on the season.
Linder and Abbygail Gamarnik won a team-high five games in doubles play at the second flight.
University of the Sciences takes over a month off before hosting Millersville on Wednesday, March 27 at 5:30 p.m.
