Miletic’s Perfect Week Leads to CACC Player of the Week Award

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – University of the Sciences' Karla Miletic has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Tennis Player of the Week after going a combined 5-0 last week.

It is the senior's fifth career weekly honor from the league, and her first since the 2017 season.

Highlighting that 5-0 record was Miletic going 3-0 in CACC play as USciences started its league schedule 3-0 for the first time since at least 2008.

She began the week with two victories over defending CACC champion Wilmington on Tuesday. After pairing with Myka Williams for a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles, she came back for a 1-6, 6-2, 10-7 triumph at the first flight in singles play.

Miletic also went 2-0 at West Chester, again teaming with Williams for a 6-2 result at No. 1 doubles, before dropping just four games at first flight singles.

She ended her week by sweeping No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-0, against Caldwell on Saturday.

Miletic and the Devils are back in action this afternoon, Oct. 1, taking on fellow unbeaten Goldey-Beacom in a matchup of two of the CACC's four unbeaten teams in league play at 3 p.m. at Delcastle Tennis Center.
