MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – University of the Sciences women's tennis senior Karla Miletic was presented her second straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Top XVI Award at an awards banquet held on the eve of the CACC Semifinals on Thursday night.
USciences women's tennis has now won the last four awards, with Abbygail Gamarnik receiving it in both 2016 and 2017.
The CACC Top XVI Award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average (GPA) participating at the finals site for each of the CACC championships. In order to be considered, the student-athlete must have earned at least 48 college credits, as well as be a member of the active roster.
Miletic boasts a perfect 4.0 GPA through her first six semesters as a Physics major at University of the Sciences.
Miletic will make her fourth and final CACC Semifinals appearance tomorrow when third-seeded USciences takes on second-seeded Goldey-Beacom at Edgewood Bath & Tennis at 1 p.m., with the winner advancing to the Saturday's 12 p.m. Championship Match.
Prior to Miletic arriving, the Devils had made just three CACC Semifinals appearances in their first 11 years in the league.
