PHILADELPHIA – The University of the Sciences women's cross country team placed third out of eight collegiate teams at the Jack St. Clair Memorial, hosted at Belmont Plateau, on Saturday afternoon.

In their last action prior to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship, at the course where the Championship will be hosted in two weeks, three Devils ran season-bests in USciences' second 6K of the year.

One of those three was Gabby Moss, who led University of the Sciences with a 19th place finish in the field of 93, which included open entries. The sophomore shaved more than 18 seconds off her first 6K of the season and was the 13th collegiate runner to cross, as well as the third amongst the three CACC teams racing.

Crossing one place behind her was Elizabeth Sauers, who completed the course in 25:33.7.

Regan Asay (26:55.8) and Olivia DeLorenzo (27:55.0) were both at least 27 seconds faster than their first 6K of the season as they placed in the top-half of the field, in 34th and 44th.

Emily Brand (28:55.4) and Muskan Khandare (29:05.8) crossed two spots apart in 51st and 53rd, while Dayna Smerina rounded out USciences' day with a time of 33:11.2.

University of the Sciences now takes next weekend off, as it preps for the 2018 CACC Championship that will take place on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 9 a.m.
